August 2, 2010
Avery had a fantastic and fun filled birthday. We met cousins Maggie and Mia at Central Park in Fremont and Mia surprised Avery with her very own "Barbara" doll. The girls had fun together and it was great to catch up with Maggie.
Avery and I came home early afternoon and baked cupcakes. Daddy surprised Avery with flowers that were delivered to our home. After work he arrived with a box of Sees chocolates for me and a very sweet card for Avery. We had dinner and then sang to our baby girl!
On another note, Avery had her 1 year check up today and is perfect! She's long and lean and developing as she should.

The Happiest Year of My Life
Happy First Birthday to Our Sweet Baby Girl! Seriously though...where the heck did this past year go? It seems like just yesterday I was walking around the Livermore Art Festival with my Mom complaining of pain which ended up being contractions. In the moment I really didn't love being pregnant, but now that Avery is One I totally miss being pregnant. Seeing her for the first time was the coolest experience. Never did I know that I could fall in love so intensely as I did when we met Avery. Being a Mommy is definitely hard work, but the most rewarding job there is. When she smiles at me it makes every problem, worry, or ache instantly go away.
Avery, you are so much fun and I can't wait to watch you grow this next year and turn into a toddler. Keep talking, laughing, and smiling because it sure makes my world worth living!
Happy Happy Birthday! Love you to Pieces!
A Visit from the Hawkin's Family
Lucky Us! The Hawkins came out our way for 10 days. We had so much fun celebrating Auntie Trina's birthday and getting together with the entire Paroli Family at the Lake! Trina's birthday was so special this year. It was the first time we have been together to celebrate in probably over 10 years. The 10 days went way too quick and before we knew it they were back to DC. I still cry and get depressed everytime I have to say goodbye to my sister and beautiful niece. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will be living out here for good next summer. Thank Heaven for i phones so that we are able to send endless videos and pics of our girls to one another.

What I am Into these Days
Well Mommy finally broke down today and decided to start the baby proofing. I think she was tired of me opening and closing every possible cupboard, drawer, and the refrigerator too! My favorite place to hang out these days is my Mommy's closet. There's lots of room for me to play and she has a large jewelry box that has all sorts of fun items in it. Whenever I am fussy she puts me in the closet and instantly we are both in better moods...
Here's some pics of to show how active I am these days!

Memorial Weekend with the Dafnis'
Lucky Us! The Dafnis Clan from AZ were in SF for work and we were able to visit two days in a row. Cousins Izzy and Alex were adorable with Avery and it was so much fun to watch them play. We had a memorial day BBQ and of course Gwen went over the top buying the kids matching outfits! They looked so cute and festive.

Mother's Day Pics for Mom
During our visit to DC, Trina and I decided to have portraits taken of us and our girls for my Mom. The photographer was fantastic and she spent the morning with us photographing Hannah at the park playing and then some shots in Trina's front yard. Hannah was such a trooper being she had a 103 fever that morning. It was so hard to keep from sharing the photos with my Mom until Mother's Day. Trina and i picked our three favorites and had them framed for Mom. I helped hang them in her entry way after our nice Mother's Day afternoon and dinner. Here are the three photos that we chose:

DC Vacation to visit the Hawkins
We just returned from a fabulous trip visiting cousin Hannah, Auntie Trina, and Uncle Monte. The first few nights we had girl time while Daddy and Uncle Monte cruised to Philly for a mancation. They competed in a sports leisure event where their team participated in hot dog eating contests, darts, beer drinking, etc...Daddy said it was so fun because he drank beer and ate food all day. Their team took 5th place:)
I am so lucky because my Uncle Monte gave us a private tour of the west wing of the White House. I slept through the first half of the tour and woke up just in time for pictures. Daddy got to go back the next day and see the NY Yankees along with President Obama. I'm starting to wonder who this vacation was for...
The rest of our trip we played a lot outside with Hannah and we we went to the numerous parks that Falls Church had to offer. Hannah loves being outside playing and it was so fun to watch her. We came home after 8 days and we were so sad to say goodbye. Counting down the months until July when they come visit us.
As for my big milestones...well i still have no teeth, I am trying to crawl, and I love to talk. Life is Good!

6 Months Old Already
Wow where did half a year go? Don't Blink!!! Avery is constantly changing and growing so quickly. I feel like she is outgrowing her clothes every week. She had her 6 month check up today along with 5 shots:( She weighs 15 pounds and is 26 inches long. We introduced rice cereal and I am in the process of making her baby food which is so exciting. She giggles, squeals, and makes lots of noises for us. Nothing better than her extremely agressive kisses that she constantly gives! She's a ton of fun and both Brandon and I can't get enough of her:)
